EPT Polish Open Tour to be hosted by Casinos Poland

It was announced today that Casinos Poland Ltd will be hosting the Polish Open 2008 at the Hyatt Hotel in Warsaw. Casinos Poland Ltd is a holding of Century Casinos, Inc. This will be the first European Poker Tour to take place in Poland. The dates set for the event are March 11th through the 15th. The Hyatt is property of Casinos Poland Ltd.

No Limit Texas Hold'em is the name of the game for the Polish Open and the standard structure for the EPT five day event will apply. $8,600 USD is the buy-in amount for the tournament and the prize pool can reach a cool $3,280,000 if all 400 spots are filled.

This will be the fourth season of the European Poker Tour and currently one of the most popular tours in Europe. Last season five different cities had sold out allowing the maximum number of players to participate. Last year's Final held 706 players (a record) and a prize pool over $9 million USD. With that prize pool the final became the richest tournament ever held outside of Vegas.
