FTOPS $1,000 Buy-in Event Results

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII continued last night with the $1,000 buy-in shorthanded no limit hold'em tournament. The event was set to have a guaranteed $1 million prize pool but that soon changed when the field of entrants grew to 1,649. The players pushed the guarantee up to $1,649,000.

Because of the huge turnout, the first place finisher would now win $330,000. A few well known players made it to the final 100. Brad Booth and Stefan Rapp, both sponsored by Full Tilt, made it past the 100th spot. Stefan finished in 60th while Brad went out earlier in 65th place with both finishing in the money.

When it came down to heads-up play Gautchos and Fish_lovr were set to battle it out. Gautchos would be the victor taking down the final hand and the $330,000 first place prize. Today will be the $200 Omaha Eight or better tournament. The guaranteed prize pool amount is set at $200,000 but it may go higher if more players sign up. Players can still qualify for events thorough the Full Tilt Poker website and find a full schedule of events as well.
