Full Tilt $1 Million Guarantee Results
Instead of their usual $750,000 guaranteed weekly poker tournament, Full Tilt replaced the tournament with their monthly $1 million guarantee poker tournament. The buy-in was raised to $500 plus $35 to help build the prize pool but not as many signed up as expected. A small overlay was needed and was taken care of as a little over 300 places in the tournament cashed out.
Play lasted almost a full day’s time but Leandro “Brasa” Pimentel managed to hold on and win the almost $200,000 first place prize. Nine players out of almost 2000 players made it to the final table after a little over nine hours of play.
Out of those nine Leandro Brasa and I CaioPimenta I made it to heads up play. Both chip stacks were close that it could have been anyone’s game and play was expected to continue for quite some time. However, heads up play lasted only three minutes.
Only one hand saw the flop as I CaioPimenta I called Brasa with J-Q against Brasa’s K-7. The board read Q-7-2-3-7. Brasa drew trips and the first place prize was his. Although I CaiPimento I placed second he still walked away with over $100,000 in prize money.
