Horseshoe Casino WSOP Ladies Circuit Event Has Large Turnout
This past Sunday two hundred and twenty seven ladies participated in the third No Limit Texas Hold’em $200 buy-in event of the World Series of Poker Circuit for women. The turnout created a prize pool of $44,038 and the women were ready to try and win the top prize.
It took a long while before the tables were down to ten players. At five am the players were finally narrowed down and those left decided to resume play the next day at 4 pm. Linda Tucker was able to pull out the win and take home just over $10,000.
This was the first WSOP ladies circuit event to take place at the new casino. Rick Mazer, Indiana Regional President and General Manager for Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc, commented on the event: "We hoped our Chicagoland's first-ever World Series of Poker(R) ladies circuit event would be successful. We are so pleased with the tremendous response. The ladies demonstrated such enthusiasm and high-energy."
The circuit will continue to have events at the Horseshoe today, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The last event will take place on Sunday November 2nd at 12 pm as a no limit hold’em $345 buy-in event. Players can find more information on all events in the circuit by visiting the WSOP website.
