The first Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee of the New Year took place this past weekend with a field of 3,908 competing. The prize pool was up to $781,600 with first place taking home almost $150,000. When final table play began the chip counts ranged from just over two million to just over three hundred thousand.

The first to be eliminated from the final table was GoLeafsGoEh who went all in with pocket tens. 007Paghman called with pocket kings and a third king fell on the turn eliminated GoLeafsGoEh in ninth place.

Knickadam55 was out next when he went all in with pocket 8s against pocket queens. Out right after him was Blackbeanbun who was against A-K with his A-10. The higher cards were the dominating factor so far in the competition.

The next few to exit the competition were king silas in sixth, BeNzitO85 in fifth, chickensalad in fourth and coach257 in third. That would leave 007Paghman and WPChaser in heads up play.

Right before heads up play began 007Paghman gained a good lead when he went up against coach257 with A-K. coach had pocket sixes and an ace flopped on the board giving 007Paghman a good lead after winning over six million in chips.

When heads up play began 007Paghman would have no trouble against WPChaser. In the final hand WPChaser went all in with K-5 and was called by 007Paghman who held A-7. The board came 2-8-Q-6-2 giving 007Paghman the win.
