L.A. Poker Classic Update

Feb 26, 2008

The World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic is still playing on and is about 20 players short of the payouts.  Right now Phil Ivey and Andrew Robl are battling it out for the chip leader position.

Robl has been in the top spot for the last few hours, he has been dominating his table with a very calm attitude.  Meanwhile, Ivey has been pretty much doing the same, calculating and amassing chips.

Ivey has recently taken the lead for the fist time since hanging in second and has also just moved tables so now he has a new set of players to scare and take down.

When you take a look at their calm faces the players that are shorter stacked really stand out.  Those players are yelling out win they win a hand happy for more chips and the chance to stay in the tournament for just a few more hands and of course the chance to stay in the game long enough to be in the money.

After the third such outburst one particular person in the media remarked, "I hate these people".  Someone obviously needs a manner update or a dose of the stress, excitement and anxiety that players can go through in a large tournament.
