UK & Ireland Tour Kicks off in Galway

The new poker tour by PokerStars, the UK & Ireland poker tour, begins today in Galway, Ireland and has been highly anticipated by poker players. The new tour will run over the next year and will see stops in Ireland as well as the UK.

The main event of this stop will have a €2,000 buy-in and many at the event will have won their seat via satellites. Many poker pros will be on hand to compete including Peter Eastgate, JP Kelly, Marty Smyth as well as James Akenhead, Neil Channing, Andy Black and Jude Ainsworth. All of the above players are expected to do very well during the tournament.

The event will begin today with a super satellites followed by the main event day one on Friday. Day two and three will follow with the 14th bringing the final table event. Below is a list of the full schedule of events.
