WPT Legends of Poker Final Table Starting

In just about 20 minutes (at 4pm PST) the final table of the World Poker Tour's Legends of Poker tournament is going to get under way at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angelas, California.  There are only six players left in the tournament and fans of poker will be able to watch them duke it out on Fox Sports Net later on.

Amit Makhija is ahead of the table as he holds almost 30 percent of the chips in play so the rest of the players at the final table are going to have to work hard to get his chips and take the lead.  Makhija has held the chip lead since yesterday and he is not to give up his lead easily.

In an interview with the WPT Live Updates Hostess Amanda Leatherman Makhija said, “This feels like any tournament. I don’t think it’s set in yet and I haven’t played that many World Poker Tour events. It feels good to run well right off the bat.”

This isn't going to be his first televised final table so he shouldn't feel too much added pressure due to the cameras.  He finished in 5th place in Event No. 1 of the World Series of Poker a few weeks ago and said then, “I didn’t even notice [the cameras] at the time. You’re in the zone.”

Other players taking their seat at the final table are John "The Razor" Phan in second position with 2.4 million chips, Zachary "CrazyZachery" Clark holds just over 2 million chips putting him in third.  Kyle Wilson has 1.4 million chips and is sitting in fourth, Paul Wilson is the fifth in chips with 1.1 million chips and sitting with the shortest stack is Trong Nguyen with 980,000 chips.

Play is going to be resuming at 4pm PST and World Poker Tour Hosts Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten will be there to report on all of the action at the final table.  When the final six players start again the blinds will be at 30,000/60,000 with a 5,000 chip ante.
