WPT Legends of Poker

The World Poker Tour is gearing up for the 2008 Legends of Poker event that will be taking place in the Bicycle Casino in Los Angelas, California.  The Legends of Poker event will get under way on August 23rd and finish on August 28th with a new winner.

The event is going to be filmed as part of the seventh season for the World Poker Tour.  This is going to be first time that this event will be airing on it's new tv home, Fox Sports Net.  The Legends of Poker is also one of the most anticipated events of the year. 

Part of the reason may be that past winners of the Legends of Poker have included some of the biggest poker players in the world.  Last year's winner was Dan Harrington, he is a two time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.  He also won the WSOP Main Event in 1995 to win $1 million dollars, this was one of the largest poker prizes to be handed out at this time.

The winner of the first ever WPT Legends of Poker was Chris Karagulleyan who took out final table players, Stan Goldstein, Mark Srif, Hon Le, Can Kim Hua and Kathy Liebert.  The upcoming 2008 WPT Legends of Poker is going to have a $10,000 dollar buyin and below is a look at the schedule for the event.
