Will Failla Leads WPT Legends of Poker Final Table

Will Failla will enter the first World Poker Tour final table of the season as the chip leader. Failla is taking a stack of around 6.7 million chips into final table play at the Legends of Poker tournament at the Bicycle Casino, giving him a clear lead over the remaining players in the field.
Failla is just the top dog at a final table that features several notables – even if they’re not among the biggest celebrity names in poker today. While Joshua Pollack, who comes into the final table in second place, is only playing in his third-ever WPT event, there are two former World Series of Poker bracelet winners who remain alive in the tournament, both of whom are looking for their first ever WPT title to round out their resumes. First, Ken Aldridge is coming into the table in 4th place. Aldridge won his WSOP title in 2009, when he won a $1,500 six-handed no-limit hold’em event.
Perhaps fresher in the minds of fans will be Owais Ahmed. After winning his first ever bracelet in the 2011 World Series, he followed that up with a televised final table appearance at the Poker Players’ Championship, finishing 8th. Although Ahmed comes into the final table as the short stack, he does have 1.7 million in chips, giving him a reasonable chance of staying in the running.
One of the big changes to the World Poker Tour in Season 10 is the addition of live, streaming coverage of their final tables. While there will be a 30-minute delay in the coverage, viewers will be able to watch all of the action (with commentary) beginning at 7:30 pm Eastern US time on WorldPokerTour.com. The final table payouts are as follows:
1st - $758,085
2nd - $365,800
3rd - $186,400
4th - $128,500
5th - $102,800
6th - $77,100
In addition to the cash prize, the winning player will also receive a customized WPT card protector. This replaces the WPT bracelet that has been given to winners in previous seasons, distinguishing the awards given to WPT winners from those awarded by the WSOP.
