WSOP Changes Bracelet Ceremony for 2009
Harrah’s Entertainment has announced a change for the 2009 World Series of Poker Bracelet Ceremony. This year the bracelet winners will be invited to the Rio to receive their bracelet at the Amazon Room. The winners will be awarded their bracelet at 2:20 PM the day after they earn their WSOP win.
The ceremony will be hosted by Jeffrey Pollack, the Commissioner of the WSOP and a special Bracelet Ceremony Stage will be in the Amazon Room. The first bracelet ceremony will take place on June 1st and a new ceremony will take place daily until the first day of the Main Event on July 3rd.
The ceremony has been created to coincide with the players return after the first break of the day. The winners will be awarded their bracelets as the national anthem is played and then everyone will pose for pictures. The bracelets awarded will be made by Corum, a leading watchmaker.
Winners will also be given a Total Rewards Card which is new from Harrah’s. The cards will give the winners Diamond status which is reserved for Harrah’s best customers. The card is good for all winners for up to a year.
