Women in Poker Hall of Fame Inducted 4 Members
The Women in Poker Hall of Fame recently inducted its first four members on February 2nd at Binion's Casino in Downtown Las Vegas, a great place for another first, as the first World Series of Poker was held at Binion's Casino. Barbara Enright, Susie Isaacs, Linda Johnson and Marsha Wagner were the honored ladies that received the honor of being the first to be received into the new Hall of Fame.
The women were honored for their excellence, performance and contributions to poker. World Poker Tour commentor Mike Sexton opened the event with a slide show that featured the individual careers of each inductee. Sexton also added that "Years from now the name of these four women will be a trivia question on a quiz show".
The Women in Poker Hall of fame was founded by the Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS). The event was sponsored by Card Player magazine and Ocean's 11 Casino and WPT Boot Camp supported the ceremony as Gold sponsors. Others that helped out in the event were Wildhorse Casino, PokerSchoolOnline.com, Palm Imports LLC, Binion's Casino, Joker Gaming, Framing Studio LV, Venetian Casino, Greasie Wheels and ClubUBT.com by donating door prizes.
