European Union Pressures the United States
During a press conference at Capitol Hill Mendleson stated that "good, responsible competitors in this market excluded by regulatory mechanisms."
By this statement Mendleson was referring to the fact that While the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act does not actually say that American citizens can not gamble but instead attack the banks and other final institutions that would make transactions are now unable to do this with out breaking the law.
This is what keeps many American online gamblers from joining other online casino goers from dong any online gambling as the easiest way of either deposit or collect games through the use of their credit cards.
On Capitol Hill Mendleson argued with United States Law makers that the ban is unfair and is against the World Trade Organization trade agreement.
The European Union and the members have asked for up to $100,000 in compensation because of this broken trade agreement and Mendelson agrees that they are within their rights to expect this type of compensation unless the United States changed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
