The head of Unibet who was recently detained in the Netherlands under a French warrant is now speaking out and not only giving his side of the detainment and arrest.

Currently Petter Nylander has been released on bail, the detainment and arrest had been made after the European Union had decided in his favor in an ongoing battle with the French monopoly on gambling by casino operators other than their own.

According to Nylander the laws that they used in order to arrest him were laws that were put into French laws in 1836 and also in 1891. It is his opinion that this arrest on law that were put into place so many years ago in order to harass not only himself but Unibet in order to keep their monopoly in place.

Nylander has stated while he has seen monopolies he has never seen any where they have used laws from so far in the past.

It is his feeling that the gaming interest in must gather together and comprise a method in which they all should operate that cannot be used against them by any country. Way no one would have protected then and this way no one online operator could be singled out.
