By United States Federal Law every company must report all lobbying efforts and the expenses incurred therein. Well United States Poker Players, the poke rooms we've grown to love are there for you. In fact,
Party Poker (PartyGaming PLC) spent nearly 1.5 hundred thousand dollars on lobbyists and lobbying efforts in 2007. The WPT, 20 grand, Station Casino's Inc, $60,000. The American Gaming Association (AGA - representatives of more than 50 gambling companies) spent nearly a million dollars ($900,000) on their own lobbyists efforts.
Barney Frank, we're with ya, these companies are with ya, and we want our right to be free back! Barney Frank's Bill would make online poker gambling legal once again, allowing us that pursuit of happiness in the PRIVACY of our own homes, it would also keep things all cheery on the political end of things, with regulation, and of course taxation of online gambling.
