Bodog Regains Control of Domain Name
It has been two years since Bodog began fighting in court to regain control of their domain name. After the long battle they finally have regained control and can use the Bodog website once again. The online gambling provider announced that the court battle was over recently after an agreement was made between Morris Mohawk Gaming Group and 1st Technology, LLC.
The agreement was reached on Monday and ended the lawsuits that existed between the two parties. Right now if a player wanted to visit the Bodog website they would be sent to BodogLife instead of the former Bodog website.
Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, who is responsible for marketing Bodog in North America, released a statement on the agreement. In a press release Alwyn Morris, Chief Executive for the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group stated:
“While the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group was not the judgment debtor, the MMGG is the exclusive licensee of the “Bodog” brand within the region and, as such, activities that impact the brand necessarily impact our businesses. We are pleased to have worked constructively with 1st Technology and its principals to bring an end to this protracted dispute. This resolution will provide certainty and will also allow us to continue to enhance our technology base for online gaming in order to provide our users with unfettered access to the best technology.”
