The New Zealand Governments Internal Affairs Department is requiring that the Christ church casino close all of their online gambling operations, and any other gambling activities they may be involved in within the next 7 months.

A Wellington newspaper, the Dominion Post, reported that the closure will involve online bingo rooms, online poker sites, and the companies online casino.

The New Zealand government ruled that operations of all of these online gambling entities are in direct breach of the New Zealand Gambling Act which went into effect in 2002.

New Zealand has what's called a 'protected online gambling industry' they allow only their own online gambling sites to operate, those not a part of the New Zealand Tab are prevented from allowing wagers from New Zealand residents.
