Massachusetts Representative Delahunt Supports IGREA
The bill was made a law last year despite the many House members who opposed. Now with enough support the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act presented by Barney Frank could be passed to help the situation. If this bill is passed it will legalize online gambling and help regulate the online gambling business in the United States.
The bill has basically been sitting quiet since Frank introduced it to the House. It was sent to the House Energy Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection but nothing has happened. Other bills are being introduced to Congress to help change the way online gambling is being dealt with in the United States yet there hasn't been any new legislation passed since the UIGEA passed in 2006. If you are for online gambling contact your local House of Representative and let them know how you feel and maybe they will do as Delahunt has done and be a cosponsor for the IGREA.
