Relieved US players begun receiving long-held funds
As part of its settlement, Neteller has pulled out of the US market, agreed to pay a penalty of $136 million and to pay back - without interest - all American players whose funds were made immobile. The last stipulation was moving forward Tuesday as they were falling in line with the agreed upon timetable.
Totals being paid are wide-ranging from less than a hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars - a number of players have declared they had account surplus in excess of $20 thousand, $70 thousand and in one case $800 000 (purportedly a top poker tournament competitor whose prize money were paid via Neteller)
Neteller was in addition vigorous in getting in touch with former Neteller Card holders. The Neteller Card services were suspended earlier this year and are now being replaced with a new provision in the form of the GlobeWallet Prepaid Card, offered in partnership with First Pay and Conister Trust PLC. The new card will be effective at over a million ATMs in 210 countries and over 25 million businesses globally, and Neteller boasts that this card does have lower fees than most other prepaid cards. Neteller has waived activation fees assuming that current cardholders apply for the new service earlier than August 8.
