Where Will The Chips Fall

Recently PartyGaming, who is reportedly the largest online gaming site in the industry, has come out in the public forum stating that after the United States put new regulations (UIGEA) into effect last year its online poker site, Party Poker, banned the use of their online gaming site to US poker players. It was after their decision to ban these players that they began to lose profits and found themselves seeking other poker players in other countries to bring their profits back into the black.

PartyGaming is now in the process of having talks with United States Authorities to avoid prosecution for its U.S. dealings with American online poker gaming players using their site before being banned. Their CEO feels it may take months before this is cleared up with U.S. Authorities.

All this while trying to rebuild their business is holding them back from making deals with several other online gaming sites, along with gaming sites that are interested in using PartyGaming software on for their sites and their gamers as stated by Mitch Garber PartyGamings CEO. While this U.S. law; the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act is putting a damper on American players, it is also affecting the growth of online gaming companies from other countries.
