Amateur Poker Tour Event Won by Chris Mason
The Amateur Poker Association and Tour held their World Championship event this past Sunday and 157 players registered to compete. It was Chris Mason who was able to outlast the field of competitors and take the first place finish.
The event took place in Nottingham and Mason had to outlast a tough field of competitors once final table play began. Those sitting at the table were: Ian Overson, Chris Filus, John Miller, James Bagley, Ant Williams, Dave Potter and Oystein Eggen. Dusk Till Dawn hosted the event and everyone was anxious to see who would walk away the winner.
Once everyone was eliminated, the competition would be down to Mason and Jamie Reeve. Reeve would not be able to come up with the win and he would go out in second, taking home £5,000 for his efforts. Meanwhile, Mason would earn £7,000 and a seat to the grand final of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour.
The APAT also held an Omaha Championship during their tour stop and it was Paul Pitchford who earned the win. The tour also saw a HORSE event take place and Andrew Tracey won that event.
