Antonius Takes Over A Million from Dwan before Durrrr Challenge Begins
This past Tuesday Patrik Antonius and Tom “durrr” Dwan played a few round of high stakes cash games. Antonius recently accepted Dwan’s poker challenge but that has yet to take place. This was just a few friendly games of high stakes poker. After the night was over Patrik was over a million dollars richer and Dwan may be rethinking his previous challenge.
The pair played a few rounds of Pot Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha on Full Tilt at the $500/$1000 Mix tables. Several of the pots were quite large but the three biggest pots were won by Patrik Antonius. According to HighstakesDB Patrik won the $562,000, $508,000 and $498,000 pots from Dwan.
This latest development really amps up the challenge issued by Dwan. Earlier this month Dwan stated that he would face anyone online and play four tables with a minimum of $200/$400 putting up $1.5 million to the other players $500,000. 50,000 hands is the minimum amount Dwan will play and whoever is on top at the end is the winner.
If Dwan wins then he gets the $500,000 but if the other player wins then they take the $1.5 million that Dwan is staking. Patrik has already confirmed that he will take Dwan’s challenge and has proven that he can take the win.
Others have accepted the challenge as well and it will be very interesting to see who and how much is won during the matchups.
