Kent Senter is a fifty five year old man who was diagnosed with blood cancer multiple myeloma and has only about three years to live. He enjoys playing poker and an online poker firm gave the poker fan a trip of a lifetime this week.
Senter was sent to the World Series of Poker Main event this week by an online poker firm and Bluff magazine. Senter had all his expenses paid as he traveled to Las Vegas with his wife and two of his children. Senter reached the second day of play before he was eliminated.
Senter commented to USA Today that his trip was a dream come true and was happy with his game play. He commented: “I really haven’t played poker. I watch it on ESPN. So to be sitting there when a lot of these pros had already been knocked out was unbelievable.
Senter was visited by Nelly, the rapper, who happened to be competing as well. Senter was also interviewed by ESPN when he was eliminated from the tournament.
