Bodog Pro Likely to Tweet While Participating in EPT Event
Twitter is the latest online trend to hit the internet and everyone is doing it. If you are not familiar with Twitter it is a social networking site where people can keep track of their friends. Each person is allowed only a few words to describe what they are doing. It has become a phenomenon with celebrities, sports stars and yes even poker pros getting in on the action.
According to the latest Bodog Beat, Evelyn Ng, team member of Team Bodog, has been twittering about going to the European Poker Tour San Remo event, which begins tomorrow. She commented that she was on her way to Italy just a few hours ago and will most likely be Tweeting throughout the competition.
This is an interesting way to get an insider’s look at popular online poker tournaments while they are in process. Other poker pros have Twitter accounts and can be found posting notes about their day as well as what is going on during online play. As the internet expands it gives poker fans more information as it happens during these events.
This is the second year the San Remo event has taken place and this year it will have a buy-in of $6,500. Last saw an impressive turnout and this year the same is expected. It will be interesting to see how far Evelyn makes it in the tournament and even more interesting to get a firsthand account from the poker pro herself.
