Competitive Sponsorship for WSOPE

Vega Promotional Systems, Inc. announced it would be hosting Bob Clarke, AKA Bob the Butcher, a renowned UK Poker Pro, adding another prominent showing for UK poker pros. The event began last week with a keen interest in the UK poker competitors, as the WSOPE is in London for the competition. This is the first ever World Series of Poker Event outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The competition is already heating up, as yesterday launched Day 1a of the WSOPE Main Event, a 10 thousand GBP No Limit Texas Holdem Championship. Yesterday, and today have been played at the Empire, the Sportsman and the Fifty, since the participant attendance is vastly more than any one of the casinos could field on their own. Some of the well known names include Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, Jamie Gold, Johnny Chan, Phil Ivey, and the 'Texas Dolly' Doyle Brunson. Representing the UK are the Hendon Mob, Ross and Barny Boatman, Joe Beevers, and Ram Vaswani who secured their positions at the first possible opportunity.
