David Rheem Earns Win for Poker Pack at APT Macau
The Asian Poker Tour Macau Festival has begun and many poker pros have headed to Macau to participate. One group of poker pros that turned up for the festivities is The Poker Pack. A group of Asian poker pros that serve as ambassadors for the APT. one of the team members, David Rheem, recently won one of the side events in Macau.
David “Chino” Rheem bested Tommy Le to win the Hong Kong Game Club no limit hold’em re-buy and add/on tournament. The event took place this past Saturday and Rheem and Le went head to head for the win. Rheem’s Queens/nine was better than Le’s Jacks/ten to take the win on the Queens/seven flop.
Le is the younger brother of fellow Poker Pack member Nam Le. Tommy Le earned $4,967 for his second place finish while Rheem earned $8,283 for first place. The event was the fourth side event at the Macau festival and the main attraction, the Main Event, will begin on Thursday with a buy-in of $4,438.
Other members of the Poker Pack include: JC Tran, Quinn Do, Steve Sung and Kwang Soo Lee. These four along with Rheem and Nam Le, the group has earned more than $24 million in live tournament winnings.
