Doyle Brunson Comments on Joan Rivers Remarks
Just the other day, Joan Rivers and Doyle Brunson were scheduled to appear on the Dan Le Batard radio show in Miami. As many should recall, Rivers has a hatred for Annie Duke and the game of poker so she had words for Brunson while she was on the show. When Brunson appeared later on the show he definitely shot right back at what Rivers had to say.
Rivers started off her part of the radio show by saying Doyle should ‘go away and quit trying to get famous off her back’ and that he should go ‘die under a deck of cards’. Brunson would come on the show just a bit later and respond to what Rivers had to say.
Brunson said that ‘dying under a deck of cards would be a good place to go’ and that it was better than where she was going to die under ‘a pile of manure’. Apparently Rivers was supposed to come to Las Vegas and apologize for the way she treated Duke and for insulting all poker players. Brunson was going to accept the apology on behalf of the poker community but it never happened.
Brunson went on to say that “Joan Rivers don’t need us and we don’t need her, so good luck to her.”
