Jamie Gold Confirmed for Irish Open

In just a few days the Irish Open will kick off in Ireland with several big name pros competing for the first place prize. One such pro who recently confirmed his participation in the event is Jamie Gold. Gold will be joined by Tony G and Brian Townsend who also recently confirmed they will be making the trip to Ireland as well.

Gold is the 2006 WSOP Main Event winner and Tony G is one of the more recognizable poker players. Brian Townsend is also well known for his knowledge of poker. Close to one thousand players are estimated to be competing in the Irish Open which will take place at the Citywest Hotel on April 9th through the 13th.

The Irish Open will begin with a satellite for poker fans to be able to earn a seat to the Main Event. The buy-in for the satellite is only €200 with a €20 registration fee. The buy-in for the Main Event is €3,200 plus €300 for registration.
