Poker Pro Quitting the Game
It seems as though many poker pros have been experiencing gaming burnout. Shaun Deeb decided to quit poker tournaments and Gus Hansen decided to quit last December but he is already back in the fray. Now Jonas Danielsson has announced he is quitting the game of poker.
Danielsson stated in his blog that the fire and passion he had for the game has burned out. Danielsson compared his feelings to a bonfire that burns all night but leaves only ashes in the morning. Friends of the poker player have tried to get him to start playing the game seriously again but he has stated that he has been making excuses not to play.
The blog by Danielsson is in Swedish so if you are not fluent in the language you will not be able to read the blog. On the TwoPlusTwo forums, member HopelessHousewife has translated the blog and in it Danielsson comments on his future by stating:
“Will probably start with something else. What it is I do not know. Perhaps it will be submitting anything, but I have some plans and ideas that I spend time to investigate. I do not want to retire already but I have to be vigilant with my investment because the mistakes I make in the future will be harder to repair than my past mistakes. How can time be both telling and judge whether or print.”
