Team 888 Doing Well at WSOP Main Event
Team 888 has performed well during the first days of the Main Event of the WSOP. The Day 1 events were spread over four days as the field was so large and they have now concluded. Team 888 has held up and will continue their quest at the felt.
6,494 players registered for the WSOP Main Event and the total prize pool stands at $61,043,600. The winner will earn just over $8.5 million and 648 players will cash out during the tournament. The players of Team 888 hope they will be one of the players cashing out.
Twenty two players make up the 888 Poker Team and they come from all over the world including Denmark, Germany, The UK, Australia, Spain, Sweden and Russia. Only 17 of the 22 players on the 888 Team made it passed Day 1 and they will be returning for Day 2 play which will run over two days.
Shane Warne of 888 Team played the strongest with 87,625 chips going into Day 2 play. Skellaridis Anders of Denmark has 68,300 chips and Fernando Gord has 64,650 chips. They show promise to make it to Day 3 play but only time will tell. It will be interesting to see how they fair in the upcoming days.
