Tom Dwan Issues Poker Challenge; Best of the Best Accept
One of the most popular events being discussed in the world of poker is the recent challenge issued by Tom “durrr” Dwan. Tom is a well known internet poker pro who has created a challenge for himself. Tom has stated that he will play heads up No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha against someone for 50,000 hands.
The minimum stake will be $200/$400 and a minimum of four tables at once will be played online. If Tom is down by the end of 50,000 hands even by the lowest amount he will pay the challenger $1.5 million. If Tom is ahead by the end of the 50,000 then the challenger owes Tom $500,000. The winning player would also get to keep the winnings made during game play.
Since issuing the challenge, several poker pros have admitted they are up for the challenge. Phil Ivey recently confirmed on his podcast that he will take the challenge. Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine have accepted the challenge as well.
According to Phil Ivey, Benyamine will be the first to go against Tom but reports are conflicted. Other sources say that Benyamine has not accepted the challenge yet. Ivey also commented that someone may go broke as it is easy to lose $5 to $10 million before all the hands are over.
No matter who is up against Tom it is sure to be very interesting to see which poker pro will come out on top and how much money they will win or lose in the process.
