Tom Dwan Plays High Stakes with Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen

Tom “durrr” Dwan played a little high stakes poker with Patrik Antonius last Tuesday and lost over a million dollars in the process. This did not seem to stop him though as this past Thursday he was back at the Omaha high stakes tables but this time he was facing Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen.

During game play yesterday morning Dwan lost the biggest pot to Hansen which was for $240,378. Although he lost the large amount, Dwan was not discouraged and by the end of play he had won a few pots to equal out his losses.

It was after a few hours of play that Dwan came back and took down a $199,999 pot from Hansen. Playing against Ivey, Dwan took down the second largest pot of the day worth $200,000.

It is amazing that these poker pros are getting into the high stakes games so early considering the challenge that Tom Dwan issued to any player willing to compete. Ivey has accepted the challenge but has yet to play Dwan. Dwan does not want to compete until the Aussie Millions is over.
