Two More Players Named to Premier League III
Party Poker’s Premier League is about to begin and two more players have been named to participate. Nenad Medic and Victoria Coren will be participating in the poker challenge. Twelve players will post a $75,000 buy-in which added to $350,000 put up by PartyPoker will create a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
Victoria Coren is the first woman to have participated in an EPT event and won the EPT London in 2006. Coren has played in previous Premier League events and has almost made the final table during two events. Nenad Medic won a WSOP bracelet in 2008 in the $10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em Championship event and a first place finish at the 2006 Foxwoods WPT Poker Final.
Other players who will participate in the League are Annette Obrestad, Roland de Wolfe, Andy Black, Juha Helppi and JC Tran. Coren commented on competing in the event: "I'm really pleased my friend Annette is in the new line-up, because I'm a huge fan of hers for many reasons. On the other hand, she's the only one I fear. The rest of them are darling little poppets but - like all men - they can't take pain, they can't keep secrets, they can't hide their feelings. They are emotional, stubborn, impatient and hamstrung by pride. When they put shelves up, they hammer their thumbs, wail, shriek and pretend to be fine when they're obviously not. Translate that to the poker table: this is Christmas."
The Premier League event is scheduled to take place in London this month beginning on the 24th. The event will end on the 30th.
