The nine final table members from the 2010 World Series of Poker’s Main Event – known as the November Nine – will reconvene in Mashantucket, Connecticut in February for the first time since they played out the final table in Las Vegas just two months ago. The players will meet up once again at Foxwoods Resort Casino to take part in a special event which will see them face each other across the felt yet again.
Other players will also be able to take part in the event, which will be a three-table tournament held on February 8, during Foxwoods’ Mega Stack Challenge XIX, which will be officially hosted by the November Nine. Players can attempt to qualify for the special event through satellite tournaments held at Foxwoods in the weeks before the tournament.
The November Nine (in order of their finish in the event) include WSOP Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel, John Racener, Joseph Cheong, Filippo Candio, Michael Mizrachi, John Dolan, Jason Senti, Matt Jarvis and Soi Nguyen.
“This will be a legendary reunion watched by the entire poker community,” said Bernard Lee, who acts as a spokesperson for the Foxwoods casino and their World Poker Tour Poker Room. “Not only will the November Nine meet at Foxwoods to resurrect memories of their last game, the players will also test their skills against the casino’s strongest poker players.”
According to a statement from Foxwoods, this is the first time in the “modern era of poker” that the final nine players from the World Series of Poker Main Event have been reunited at a special event.
“We are thrilled to host these poker superstars at Foxwoods and are proud to be a part of such a historic event,” said Terry Chiaradio, director of Poker Operations at Foxwoods Casino. “We are pleased to be able to share this reunion of the 2010 November Nine with not only the Foxwoods players, but also the entire poker community.”
