Players at CakePoker earn Frequent Player points that they turn into Gold chips to enter in tournament or exchange for prizes. Players can earn FPP by competing in cash games or at real money tournaments. As you accrue more Frequent Player Points your Gold Chip meter will start to fill up. One Gold Chip is earned every time the meter is full, which takes 120 FPP.
Players can then redeem there chip in a Weekly Gold Chip Giveaway tournament or a Weekly Chip Buy in Giveaway tournament. The games that are offered in these tournaments vary from week to week and can be anything from Texas Hold'em to Omaha.
Gold Chips do no expire so players can choose to not play one week and save their chip and continue collecting chips. Gold Chips can also be redeemed at the CakePoker store for merchandise.
After a players has accumulated 120 FFP they will get one Gold Chip, after that the official Gold Chip meter is shortened. This means that there will be less FFP required to get your second chip and so on. The meter will continue to shrink for each chip earned in a calendar month until players reach five Gold Chips.
Once a player has earned five chips in one month they will be awarded a bonus chip and then they will continue to earn chips for only 70 Frequent Player Points. The Gold Chip meter will automatically reset itself each month so the more you play in a month means more points and chips you will earn.
