EPT Dublin Chipleader: Annette Obrestad
It doesn't surprise many people that Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad is at it again. This young female poker pro, from Norway, is the chipleader in the EPT Dublin. Many feel that since she has already accomplished the World Series of Poker Europe main event and has received over a million in online poker hands, she is a serious threat at winning the entire event.
Obrestad had a stack of 788k already as she heads toward the final day. While of course she would love to be sitting with more, this is good enough to put her into the spot of chipleader.
There are six Pokerstars qualifiers who will be playing their best at the final table, so does Annette does have some competition ahead of her? Many people feel it's not any concern for Annette and these players may simply be happy enough with getting as high of rank as possible, even if it's not first place, as this means a bigger paycheck at the end of the day.
The last well-known player besides Obrestad was Andy Black and he left with tenth place. Many feel that Obrestad is now the favorite and the clear winner. But, only time will tell.
It will be truly amazing to see if this newly turned 19 year old can successfully take down another major competition.
