Everest Poker Reports Record Revenues
The Taiwan firm Gigamedia owns the Everest online poker company and they have good new for their investors this week in their Q1 2008 results. They have to report to their investors more real money players and soaring revenues.
Gigamedia's Chief Executive Artur Wang has re-emphasises the importance of the company's deal with Harrah's for their high profile WSOP sponsorship by the Everest Brand.
He also pointed out that the affluent World Series of Poker match is watched by about 350 million homes through television coverage of the event.
Wang then went to reveal that they are looking to get involved in sportsbetting soon. Arthur Wang said, “Sportsbetting will allow us to address the seasonality of our poker and casino products…We can use the summer for marketing activities around sporting events.”
Everest's Poker and casino interests have added the value of cross marketing in the fields in Wang's statement which reported that the company's gaming software has generated a 46 percent rise in revenues to $38.3 million dollars in the first quarter of this year.
Their poker activities have enjoyed a 11 percent increase in revenues to reach $29.7 million dollars and saw a 14 percent growth in new Everest Poker real money players.
