PPN Poker To Leave USA Market
Online poker room PPN Poker has announced that they will be leaving the USA market at the end of August. As a part of the move, PPN will also be leaving the Cake Poker Network.
PPN Poker – the Poker Pros Network – is planning to focus on the European market in an effort to comply with the current state of US law. As a result, the URL for the site has been changed to PPNpoker.eu. As a result of the move, PPN Poker will now exist on its own proprietary network, which will allow it to offer some exclusive features. In the press release announcing the change, PPN said that a beta test of new features will begin sometime in early autumn, with live dealer games and a “dealers’ choice” game format being among the new features.
"We here at PPN are dedicated to improving our software, creating a safe environment for players to compete, and encouraging our pros to be available to customers at all stake levels," said owner Chuck Kidd. "It's been a lot of work, but what we're introducing later this year should turn the online poker industry on its head."
While new US players will not be allowed beginning in September, existing USA players will be given an exemption to this rule, and will be able to continue playing on the site for the foreseeable future.
PPNpoker has been marketed as a site that makes professional players accessible to players of all levels, to the point of allowing players to challenge their team of pros to heads up matches at any stakes level. Professional players who are sponsored by the site include Kein Vandersmissen, Neil Stewart, Neil McFayden, Matias Gabrenja and Stefan Mattsson.
