Poker Stars Introduces Long Awaited Heads-Up Cash Games

PokerStars.com has long been one of the largest names in the online poker industry, however the poker room has always been lacking in one area - heads-up cash games. While they have always offered heads-up sit'n'go tournaments, players at the online poker room have been requesting the cash game variety for quite some time.

The long awaited transition is now over as Poker Stars has met their rival competition (Betfair Poker, Full Tilt Poker, etc.) with the recent addition of one-on-one no-limit cash game capabilities.

This anticipated addition came as members of the TwoPlusTwo forum created a petition requesting heads-up cash games at Poker Stars be made available. The petition suggested that players should send an email message to Poker Stars support demanding such a change.

The petitioners proved the system really does work, as less than 12 hours later, Poker Stars introduced "1 on 1" games at every level, from micro limits up to the highest stakes.

Since their introduction on August 2, heads-up cash games have already become quite popular, and are expected to draw us poker room players from Full Tilt as well. Poker Stars has implemented a below average rake on these games capped at only $.50, only half that of the $1 limit at all other cash tables.
