Poker in the Park

PKR.com pulled in a crowd at the recent Scottish Rock Festival, T in the Park. The tent they provided for visitors drew in more than 5,000 people to play poker, roulette and blackjack, for free in a mock up casino setting. The games themselves were free to play, but active professional dealers and croupiers ran the games. There was a wide range of PKR.com prizes for any winner.

A major attraction to PKR.com is the 3D graphics the players utilize to change their avatars with clothing, accessories and various upgrades. They are often animated and widely varied from one player to the next.

Simon Prodger, Marketing Director of PKR.com spoke with another reporter, "Scotland certainly proved why it's such a hotbed of poker talent. Despite the fact that this was a strictly play money event the quality of poker we saw was very impressive - and the incredible setting made it all the better." This is one creditable marketing director, as Simon Prodger has been in the poker industry since before it went mainstream, helping PKR.com to make it's mark at this years T in the Park Event, even organizing a give away of tickets, that were near impossible to get, after the first hour they were available for purchase.

Many popular bands like Arctic Monkeys, the Killers and Snow Patrol provided the musical backdrop, while professional photographers snapped the crowd.
