PokerHost to join Merge Gaming Network

PokerHost, an online poker room, has announced that after leaving the Cake Poker network they are going to join up with Merge Gaming. The online poker room should be completely on the new network by the end of the week.

All of the online poker room’s activities should be working on the new system by the end of the week to allow players to enjoy the Merge Gaming Network. Anthony Taylor the Chief Executive Officer for Merger Gaming commented that they are delighted to have come to an agreement with PokerHost.

PokerHost released a statement about the move which read: “we have promised our players year round action as well as a diverse poker experience opened for worldwide poker players. So, to keep our promise we have found a new home from where we will continue to bring you the best from the poker industry.”

It is surprising that PokerHost would move from the Cake Poker Network as they are one of the most popular networks for online poker rooms. Many sites have switched from their long time software providers to Cake so it is an odd move. Though Merge is a good network as well, we shall see if the move is best for the online poker room in the future.
