Which Poker Sites Still Accept USA Poker Players?

The shocking news that several online poker sites that serviced American players were shut down in the USA Friday has left many players believing that there is no more online poker in the United States. However, there are actually numerous websites that are still operating in the USA, giving American players plenty of options for online poker.

Essentially, the US government targeted the biggest fish in the USA online poker market. They seized domains from PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker, cutting off access to the real money poker games on these sites. In addition, the FBI has planned to arrest 11 defendants, including the founders of these sites and several people involved with payment processing companies.

This has left many Americans looking for a place to play online poker. Of the poker sites accepting American players, PokerStars was the largest, with Full Tilt Poker close behind; the Cereus Poker Network – which includes Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker – was third.

This leaves many smaller sites to fill the gap. These sites are likely to increase their traffic greatly overnight, as USA poker players look to migrate to sites that are still taking real money play from Americans. The following sites are still open to American poker players:

Bodog: The Bodog poker room used to be a bigger player in the online poker world, and may now be poised to pick up a large number of players once again.

Merge Gaming Network: Sites on the Merge Network are still taking USA poker players. Some popular sites on the network include Lock Poker, Sportsbook.com, Superbook Poker and PlayersOnly Poker.

Cake Poker Network: There are many great rooms on the Cake Poker Network (including the flagship room, Cake Poker) which are still accepting American players.

Others: Many smaller sites are also available as options for USA poker players. These include (but are not limited to) the Everleaf Network, Enet Poker, WSEX Poker and others.
