PokerTek Adds David Slansky as Consultant

PokerTek has hired a three time World Series of Poker bracelet winner David Slansky as a consultant.  He will be advising the Matthews based software company on their casino products.  He has also authored or co-authored 13 books on poker and gambling theory.

PokerTek is a software development company that markets electronic tables that have space for up to 10 people to play Texas Hold'em at a time.  The PokerPro system deals cards and then displays them on private screens to the players and displays general information on a much larger screen in the center of the table.

IT will also allow customers to set up accounts so they can bet and keep statistical information on the games.  The system was designed to raise casino revenues by increasing the hands that are played per hour and it also helps to reduce labor costs within the poker rooms.
