QFX's KeyScrabler Blocks Keyloggers
With the recent cheating scandals at both Absolute Poker and UltimateBet most major online poker rooms are beefing up their security so that their players will feel completely secure playing in their online poker sites. So they are installing a new player protection product that was released by QFX Software.
QFX Software is a security and financial software group that is based in Ormond Beach, Florida. The software being installed is KeyScrambler. It is a software shield that can be used at such online poker rooms as; Full Tilt Poker, PokerRoom, PokerStars, PartyPoker, Bodog Poker, Doyle's Room, UltimateBet, on the Microgaming Network, PlayerOnly Poker, Titan Poker, Hollywood Poker, Carbon Poker, 24h Poker, CD Poker and VC Poker.
They are releasing a major upgrade in the KeyScrambler software this week. The product encrypts the user's keystrokes at the keyboard driver level and then decrypts them within the protected applications. This leaves keyloggers with only indecipherable, encrypted keys to record.
A QFX spokesman said that online poker is one of the largest and fastest forms of gambling in the world. Subsequently poker identities are being frequently subjected to online theft attempts by keyloggers. But with thier new software the KeyScrambler defeats both known and unknown keyloggers and works on computers that are already security compromised.
Thier new upgrade adds support for 15 popular online poker games and they also offer a free version called KeyScrambler Personal. The free software protects all parts of select browsers against keyloggers.
It encrypts everything a user types into the browser, such as; logins, credit card numbers, addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, emails, URL's. popup password dialogs, search terms, master passwords and more.
Currently QFX Software serves more then 580,000 active KeyScrambler users in 179 countries and territories.
