Full Tilt Begins Qualifiers for Face The Ace Television Show

Poker Players will be excited to hear that Full Tilt has begun qualifiers for the NBC Face The Ace television show. Players can now try their luck at winning a seat on the brand new poker television show.

The show will begin filming on July 9th in Las Vegas and will begin airing on television on August 1st. the show was announced in April as a new show that is part game show, part reality show. Steve Schirripa of the “Sopranos” will be the host and regular people will compete against poker pros or as the show calls them ‘Aces’.

Pros scheduled to appear as ‘Aces’ are: Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Jennifer Harmon, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Allen Cunningham, Erik Seidel, John Juanda, Andy Bloch, Patrik Antonius, Mike Matusow and Gus Hansen.

The show begins with the contestant (the online qualifier) standing before four smoked glass doors. Behind each door is a different ‘Ace’. The player must choose the door he wants and then he will face that ‘Ace’. The player must then Face the Ace and if the player wins then they can risk their winnings to face another ace. Play continues until the player loses or chooses to walk away. If the player risks their money three times then they would win one million dollars.

NBC is set to air seven one hour episodes of Face The Ace, beginning on August 1st and then ending on January 2nd 2010. Players interested in being on the show can try their luck at Full Tilt and maybe they will be seen on the show!
