Full Tilt Poker Continues Million Dollar Cash Game Sponsorship

Emblaze Productions, producer of the Million Dollar Cash Game television program, has announced that Full Tilt Poker has signed a deal to continue sponsoring the program for the next three years. Full Tilt Poker has previously sponsored the televised events, which feature many of the world’s top players playing high stakes cash game poker.

The invitation only show will be filmed over September 8-9 in London, England. Those expected to participate include Phil Ivey, Tom “durrrr” Dwan, Chris Ferguson and Phil Hellmuth.

“We are delighted that Full Tilt Poker have continued their association with the Million Dollar Cash Game and we are expecting the strongest player line up yet for season 5,” said James Hopkins, managing director of Emblaze Productions.

Million Dollar Cash Game is shown on television throughout Europe on Sky Sports. The next season – season five – will be broadcast in January 2011.

Season four of the show was especially notable for Dwan winning the largest televised cash game pot in poker history. Playing three-handed with Ivey and Patrik Antonius, with $1,000/$2,000 blinds and a $200 ante, Dwan ended up in a huge pot with Ivey. Both players made a straight on the turn, and all the money went into the pot – but Dwan’s straight was higher. In the end, the pot worked out to over $1.1 million.

Traditionally, Million Dollar Cash Game has attracted some of the world’s top players. Last season featured not only Dwan, Ivey and Antonius, but also Gus Hansen, Andrew Feldman, and Chris Ferguson, among other well-known professional poker stars.
