High Stakes Poker will return for season 4

Recently the network announced this years line up of poker talent for the show. This is a high stakes cash game where the contestants will be putting up 100 thousand dollars of their own money to play against the professionals. The orginal format of the show had only 13 episodes, this year that will go on to 17 with an increase in the minum buy in, also a change, starting November 5th. The increace will bring the minimum buy in to 500 thousand dollars. The final 5 episodes will be against some of the best players in the world.

The series will include us poker players Jennifer Harman, Barry Greestein, Eli Elezra, Phil ‘the Unabomber' Laak, Sammy Farha and Todd Brunson. These are only some of the first challenges face by players, both on set and at home. Other professionals making an appearance are Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, and Jamie Gold. What a line up of competition, for each other and the amateurs on set and at their personal computer or Mac at home.

The game show network is designed to allow home players to compete in the live events. To do so you need to have a registered account on the site, and the station on at home. If you are out playing the competitors, at least at High Stakes Poker, your name may appear live on the show listed on the leaders board. What an edge this gives those learning at home!
