PKR Grand Slam Airs Tonight
Sky Sports 2 will be airing the first ever PKR Heads Up Grand Slam tonight at 10pm. Matchroom has created the new format for the Grand Slam which is a heads up shootout tournament. The first show will feature Luke ‘FullFlush’ Schwartz taking on Yevgeniy Timoshenko.
Tom Dwan will take on John Duthie while Ian Frazer and Annette Obrestad will go head to head as well. Sammy George and Sandra Naujoks will face each other while the final match will be between Nam Le and Lex Veldhuis.
The show will run for eight weeks and other poker stars to appear will be Tony G., Roland De Wolfe, Neil Channing, Devilfish, Phil Laak and Vicky Coren. Eddie Hearn the managing director of Matchroom Sport commented: “we have been looking at creating a heads-up event for a while now and I’m excited that we have the formula just right. The poker played throughout the tournament was of the highest caliber and it makes for must-see television.”
