Poker after Dark Match Begins December 31st

This Monday, December 31st, NBC's Poker After Dark will begin Season 3 with many high profile players. Jennifer Harman, Scotty Nguyen, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu and Mike Matusow will be featured in the show. They were invited to the show to play Ken Light. Light recently won the seat by winning a freeroll at Full Tilt Poker. He is a 28 year old former student at Rutgers University.

Light won a PAD single-table sit and go and advanced to the second round of play. He then had to beat 360 players in a multi table tournament. He then moved on to the final round where he defeated 1394 other players to get the chance to play in the Poker After Dark show to possibly win $120,000.

He was then interviewed by producers of the show. They wanted to know who his favorite players were and that's how they figured out whom to invite to play on the show. The match is now being called the Dream Match. The show will also feature a new host. Marianela is known on the show "Poker Princess" and is very knowledgeable in the game and has a great personality.

The match will begin at 2:05 am on December 31st. it will go on for five nights in a row each night beginning at the same time. A special show called the Directors Cut will air on January 5th at one am after an episode of Saturday Night Live. It will be a special behind the scenes look at the show from the previous week hosted by Marianela.
