APAT European Amateur Poker Title Won by Stuart Ward
One of the big events at last weekend’s APAT was the APAT European Amateur Championships. The event saw a field of 195 players from many different countries. It was Stuart Ward who was able to outlast the field and take down the win at the tournament.
The field was full of players from many different nationalities but by the time final table play began the field was mostly English players. One player was from Germany and that was Silke Burghardt. By the time heads up play began it would be Ward against Derrick Andrews.
The competition would be tough but Ward would be able to earn the win in the end. Ward earned £3,500 for the win as well as a seat to the GUKPT main event. Steve Redfern earned the APAT National Amateur Rankings title by exhibiting great performances throughout the APAT season. Redfern will now represent the APAT at the GUKPT main event. The APAT will now move to the UK Team Championship at the G Casino in Manchester this January.
